Reviews for Ligamas 818 美食咖啡店
Review highlights
Based on 113 reviewsLigamas 818 美食咖啡店 is widely recognized for its diverse and affordable local Chinese cuisine, making it a popular spot in Pekan Batang Kali. Customers frequently highlight the variety of stalls offering specialties such as wanton mee, Hainanese coffee, chicken rice, and bah kut teh, with particular praise for the flavorful and hearty wanton mee. The coffee shop’s large portions and reasonable prices appeal to budget-conscious diners seeking satisfying meals. Moreover, its vibrant food court atmosphere with multiple choices adds to its appeal as a convenient and reliable destination for lunch or breakfast. While generally well-received, some feedback notes minor inconsistencies in dish quality, but overall it is considered a must-visit for authentic local flavors.
The mixed rice option are okay and it's price are quite cheap too. The potatoes with pork belly, and the herbal tea egg from the mixed rice is okay. Good place for lunch during the afternoon.
Recommended by a friend, we visited this place in Batang Kali and had some coffee, tea and mixed rice. They also have char kuey teow, chicken rice, pan mee and wantan mee stalls. The iced coffee was strong and great to cool down. Mixed rice was a large portion at RM 5. Interestingly, although it is Restoran 818 on the main signboard, it also has Restoran 991 on a side signboard.
Nice hainam coffee, toast bread, ipoh style chicken rice, authentic panmee. Got new menu - bah kut Teh - must try, especially the dry one. Super!
Popular restaurant in Pekan Batang Kali.... Lots of stalls within this coffee shop, serving delicious local food... Tried their yummy nasi lemak, Yong Tau Foo, won ton noodles, curry chicken and braise chicken feet.... Recommended.
818 Kopitiam: The Must-Stop for Wanton Mee on Your Way to Genting! If you're heading up to Genting Highlands from Kuala Lumpur, make 818 Kopitiam your essential breakfast stop. This place serves up a wanton mee that's so good, it's become my regular pilgrimage! Wanton Mee Perfection & More The star of the show, the wanton mee, is simply outstanding. The noodles are incredibly fresh and delightfully chewy, perfectly coated in a savory gravy that just hits the spot. But what truly sets it apart is the char siew pork. You get a generous portion of delicious, BBQ-roasted char siew that actually tastes like it's been roasted over wood, with that wonderful, smoky, woody ash aroma – a far cry from gas-roasted versions. And for the price, the sheer amount of noodles and roast pork you get makes it unbelievably cheap. For an extra flavor kick, I highly recommend ordering their curry chicken. The curry gravy is wonderfully creamy and rich, and mixing a spoonful or two into your wanton mee creates a whole new level of deliciousness. If you're a fan of braised chicken feet, don't miss out on those either; they're incredibly tender and bursting with flavor, perfect for sharing. A Coffee Lover's Dream To complete your breakfast, the coffee at 818 Kopitiam is truly aromatic and a standout. It's wonderfully thick and creamy, with a distinct woody charcoal coffee taste. It's rich, less sweet, and perfectly balanced – a true gem for coffee aficionados. Easy Parking, Friendly Reminders Parking here is super easy, with spots available right in front of the shop or at the back. Just a friendly reminder from the boss (who's clearly looking out for his regulars!) to pay for your street parking, as the local authorities are frequent visitors. 818 Kopitiam isn't just a meal; it's a fantastic start to any journey to Genting, offering incredible value, authentic flavors, and a truly satisfying breakfast experience.
